Single Duct re-heat Systems

Marine/Systems/Re-heat air-conditioning system with energy recovery by return air:

This system combines good comfort to all rooms, and individual temperature control in each room

The high pressure and high velocity design gives a compact system. The use of Teknotherm’s supply air Cabin Units minimize the use of regulation dampers and silencers.

Energy recovery is by return air, meaning that part of the exhaust air from accommodation is returned to the air handling unit through the un-insulated spiro duct system where it is mixed with fresh air from outside. A combined return and exhaust air fan is used to take the air back to the AC room, and manual dampers is used to regulate the retur air ratio.

Air treatment takes place in the Air Handling Unit (AHU) where after the air is distributed through thermally insulated spiro duct system and supplied to the individual spaces though cabin units.

Some fans are required to complement the function of the Teknotherm Single Duct air condition system, commonly referred to as Accommodation Exhaust Fans.

Marine/Systems/Re-heat air-conditioning system with energy recovery by enthalpy exchanger:

This system combines good energy recovery, 100% fresh air and individual temperature control in each room.

The high pressure and high velocity design gives a compact system. The use of Teknotherm’s supply air Cabin Units minimize the use of regulation dampers and silencers, and at the same time optimise the individual climate control in each room.

Air treatment takes place in the Air Handling Unit (AHU) where after the air is distributed through thermally insulated spiro duct system and supplied to the individual spaces though cabin units.

During winter, the exhaust air is hot and humid compared to the outside air. The enthalpy exchanger transfer humidity and temperature to the supply air, without mixing it. It is then pre-heated and humidified in the air handling unit. The air is re-heated in the cabin unit based on input from a room thermostat with adjustable set point.

During summer, the exhaust air is cold and dry compared to the outside air. The enthalpy exchanger transfer humidity and temperature to the exhaust air, without mixing it. It is then cooled in the air handling unit.

Some fans are required to complement the function of the Teknotherm Re-Heat air condition system, commonly referred to as Accommodation Exhaust Fans.
