We are looking for an engaged and skilled employee with a master’s degree in energy to join our team. As a technical advisor you will be a member of our Innovation & Technology team supporting our sales and project activities. Main role is to provide innovative HVAC and refrigeration design solutions to the market and do all necessary calculations and selections. Keep in contact and discuss with clients, partners and suppliers. One key task will be energy calculations, evaluating the different systems to the individual projects and discussing the possibilities with owners and ship designers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales and project departments
• Design innovative HVAC and refrigeration solutions for ships
• Perform energy calculations and system evaluations
• Initiate and drive innovation tasks. Provide input to product development
• Train and mentor new engineers
• Ensure “best practice” and standardization in design processes
• Represent Teknotherm at trade fairs and conferences
• Collaborate with clients, partners, and suppliers
• Monitor development of all standards, class rules and market trends

Qualifications and experience

• MSc in energy, engineering, or equivalent field
• Experience in technical advisory, project management, or technical sales
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written
• Knowledge of rules and standards for marine/offshore systems
