Teknotherm’s Enigma Cabin Fan Coil Unit is designed for efficient local temperature control, minimizing energy consumption and system complexity. By utilizing a 6-way valve, the same coil handles both heating and cooling, reducing the unit’s physical footprint and simplifying piping and installation.
By decentralizing temperature control to the fan coil unit, we significantly reduce the demand for conditioned fresh air from the air handling unit (AHU). This enables downsizing of AHUs, ductwork, and chillers, lowering airflow rates, system pressure losses, and overall energy consumption.
Each cabin is equipped with a dedicated PLC, managing valve operation and fan speed for precise climate control. Each cabin can easily be integrated into a centralized control system, enabling real-time monitoring and optimization. The Cabin Fan Coil Unit serves as the foundation of the Cabin Management System, allowing for intelligent, demand-driven HVAC operation.
