Cabin Management System

Integrated with our Cabin Fan Coil System, the Cabin Management System offers vessel operators full control over cabin ventilation, ensuring optimal comfort with minimal energy consumption. By leveraging localized cooling and heating, variable air volume (VAV) dampers for fresh air regulation, and smart features such as bathroom floor heating control, presence detection, and booking system integration, we provide a highly efficient and automated climate solution.

The system operates based on three intelligent modes:

  1. Cabin Booked and Occupied – When a cabin is in use, it operates in normal mode, ensuring optimal ventilation, climate control, and bathroom floor heating at the desired setpoints for maximum comfort.
  2. Cabin Booked and Not Occupied – When the cabin is temporarily empty, presence detection (via sensors or key card integration) adjusts settings to reduce fresh air supply and energy usage, while keeping the cabin temperature within a controlled range near the setpoint.
  3. Cabin Not Booked – When a cabin is unoccupied for an extended period, the onboard booking system transmits this information to the Cabin Management System, which then automatically minimizes ventilation and expands the temperature range. Additionally, bathroom floor heating is turned off—drastically reducing energy consumption while maintaining system efficiency.

A simplified view of the three different modes:

1 Highest comfort -> 2 Lower energy consumption -> 3 Lowest energy consumption

Control and monitoring are accessible via the Cabin Management Application, which can, for example, be displayed on a reception screen, providing real-time oversight and adjustments for vessel operators:
