Oseberg South is located in the northern part of the North Sea, south of the Oseberg Field, in a water depth of approximately 100 meters. The field was discovered in 1984, and the Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) was approved in 1997.
The field is developed with an integrated steel platform comprising living quarters, drilling facilities, and first-stage oil and gas separation. Final processing takes place at the Oseberg Field Centre. Production commenced in 2000 (Norsk Petroleum, n.d.).
Teknotherm was responsible for the equipment delivery for a modification project involving the replacement of a 30-year-old air handling unit and associated components. The project required close collaboration with the client and key sub-suppliers to ensure seamless integration with the existing infrastructure while meeting current industry standards and regulatory requirements.
