DolWin5 is one of TenneT’s offshore grid connection systems, linking offshore wind turbines directly to shore via 66 kV three phase AC cables. The system will deliver 900 MW of zero carbon electricity—enough to power approximately one million homes, from three offshore wind farms located around 100 km off the German coast.
Teknotherm were responsible for detail engineering, equipment design, and delivery of all HVAC systems required for safe and reliable operation of the DolWin5 platform. This included both mechanical and electrical HVAC components, instrumentation, and inline equipment tailored for offshore conditions.
