Following the survey, Teknotherm received credit for our preparations as well as the professional presentation and demonstration delivered by Fredrik Hundstad and Bekir Köksal during the testing.
It was also emphasized that Teknotherm should be proud of the fact that after implementing and demonstrating compliance with the new class notation, the survey resulted in only two minor comments and a few proposals to future improvements.
DNV Class concluded the survey by stating that it had been a great experience working with Teknotherm.
As the Project Manager, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to this success. This milestone reflects an exceptional team effort and the result of close collaboration between all parties involved throughout the project.
A special thanks goes to our automation team, Svein André Gjerde and Fredrik Hundstad, and especially to Fredrik, who has carried the main responsibility for implementing the new DNV Class notation for this scope as well as in our QMS. Furthermore, he has been maintaining a close cooperation with the production team in investigating the software configurations required for the network, and with the team working on required documentation and design of the network architecture.
It is of great importance to emphasize that this achievement would not have been possible without the valuable support from Last Mile. Pål Oksvang, Anders Kvammen and Tom Stian Stavrum made significant contributions, not only through the development of the documentation and test procedures, but also by supporting the analyzing of the Network topology and advising necessary actions related to our network system design, VLAN configuration, and firewall setup.
Last, but certainly not least, a great thank you to DES, led by Turgay Kurt, Bekir Köksal and Nuri Eminoğlu for their outstanding efforts and countless number of hours spent throughout the investigation, implementation, configuration and testing phases after Teknotherm introduced a new network switch with routing, firewall and VLANs.
During testing DES contributed to detailed knowledge about CBS (Computer Based Systems) security capabilities and limitations, a knowledge that is essential for our future automation and control system design.
This accomplishment was achieved through dedication, professionalism, and outstanding cooperation.
