FV Takapō is a state-of-the-art factory freezer stern trawler delivered in 2026 to the New Zealand-based seafood company Aurora Fisheries (part of the Solander Group).
The design is by the Norwegian naval architecture firm Skipsteknisk (design type ST-116XL) and is built by Tersan Shipyard in Türkiye - new build no. 1124.
Teknotherm has delivered the complete cargo freezing system with RSWP and RFW onboard.
Freezing capacity appr. 90 tonn/24 hrs. in horizontal plate freezers and ammonia (R-717) as refrigerant.
